The bottom of the main cover is decorated with a mirror framed with colored straw marquetry threads.
The edges of the box are inlaid with Hungarian stitch patterns; the lid is inlaid with a scene of a port in the middle of which there are several boats and sailboats, all framed by a garland of flowers and stylized foliage.
