Beautiful travel writing case in blackened pearwood and rosewood, with brass and bone inlays. Embellished with a shaded carved border, the top is encircled by three brass fillets framing an elegant chased brass and bone inlay, forming a refined floral design.
On the front, a similar decoration surrounds the key and lock in perfect working order.
Once opened, this luxurious box unfolds to form a writing case lined with red leather. This is embellished with cold-pressed vignettes and a gilded vignette with motifs at the corners. Top and bottom tabs open to reveal two rosewood storage compartments. Finally, the upper part of this correspondence box features small compartments, two ink flasks and a penholder.
With its precious woods and quality craftsmanship, this travel writing case in perfect condition will appeal to lovers of unique, elegant objects.
