The keyhole on the top is in chiseled inlaid brass and has its key; inside lined with rosewood compartmentalized for the various letters, a removable cover for the pencil case and a crystal inkwell with bonze stopper, from the Romantic era this pretty travel piece has a lot of charm and is in good condition for amateurs sweet and inspired correspondence
