    Very beautiful writing desk from the first half of the 19th century at the end of Louis Philippe in ebony marquetry and brass fillets with a central motif in worked brass cartridge and turquoise blue enamelling, the flaps with sculpted molded and scalloped edges, in solid ebony, both for the cover of the paper reserve and the writing part itself covered with a pretty purple silk velvet... The keyhole on the top is in chiseled inlaid brass and has its key; inside lined with rosewood compartmentalized for the various letters, a removable cover for the pencil case and a crystal inkwell with bonze stopper, from the Romantic era this pretty travel piece has a lot of charm and is in good condition for amateurs sweet and inspired correspondence
