Small spherical pewter vase with a branch-shaped handle, irregular vegetal rim, and decoration of three fauns on the body. Signed J. Desbois under the handle, foundry mark on the base: Siot Decauville. France, 1896.
Good condition, minor scratches and dents (see photos). This model is referenced in the book "The Paris Salons 1895-1914, vol. V: objets d'art & metalware," Alastair Duncan, The Antiques Collectors Club editions, 1999, p. 218. Jules Desbois had a solo exhibition in 1896 at the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
