Superb pair of Restoration-period cassolettes made of Siena marble in a beautiful warm, veined shade, mounted on a stepped rectangular base.
Each piece is enhanced by an elegant, finely chiseled gilt bronze bowl decorated with gadroons, stylized foliage, and a palmette. The side handles are formed by delicately crafted scrolls.
