A pair of baluster cassolettes in green marble, with twisted handles in ormolu, finely chased with rosettes, acanthus leaves and laurel leaves. The openwork lid is topped with a pinecone. Stamped "Raulin" for Victor RAULIN (act 1867-1925).

A cabinetmaker and above all an art bronzemaker, he started out with his father at 93 rue de Turenne, where they took part in an Exhibition together in 1867. He became self-employed in 1878 and continued to work until 1925. He took part in the Paris World Fairs of 1878 and 1889, winning silver medals. Located at 110 rue Vieille du Temple, then at 209 Bd St Germain. Raulin's bronze frames, such as our pair of cassolettes, are of the highest quality.

Condition report: in very good condition with original gilding.
