    Description :
    Chiseled gilt bronze, brown patina.

These large ewers each have a base with wide moldings from which emerge asymmetrical motifs in castings, "givres" typical of the exuberance of the style.
The body is also decorated with foliage and flowers and has a neck and a spout all in volutes like the handle.
On a console two different putti carry reeds.
The ewers of the XIXth century are usually of Renaissance inspiration, so this rocaille model is particularly uncommon, with all the virtuosity and refinement without concession to the "order" of this style.
The quality of execution and deep chiseling is excellent for ewers of the nineteenth century style and served by a size larger than usual.
