    An important and elegant Empire period pedestal column, crafted from mahogany and richly adorned with gilt and patinated bronze mounts.

    It rests on a mahogany tripod base with gently curved lines, terminating in remarkable gilt bronze claw feet.
    The upper cylindrical mahogany shaft is punctuated by various bronze rings and ornaments.
    The upper section features a fluted column in patinated bronze, embellished with gilt bronze garlands and drops.

    It is framed by finely worked capitals and foliate motifs.
    Cylindrical elements with a black patina are decorated with gilt appliqués featuring rosettes and scrolling foliage.
