Superb decorative porcelain vase with an emerald green ground, richly embellished with gilding, depicting a Napoleonic-style equestrian scene.
Description
Elegant vase with handles in the form of stylized swans, entirely gilded, in the Empire style.
The body features a finely hand-painted scene of Napoleon on horseback, with soldiers in the background. The decoration is framed with gold motifs on a deep green background.
The back is adorned with a gilded vegetal motif in the neoclassical style.
The molded square base is also decorated with gilt friezes.
Signed on the reverse: “décor main” (hand-painted work).
