Persian iron urn with lid - Iran
Resting on a circular foot, the vessel is slightly flared at the top and ends with a straight lobed rim. Domed lid with pointed handle. The body is thickly incised with flowers and arranged with gilded hanging medallions; the upper rim of the vase is decorated with a long inscription. The same decorative motifs adorn the lid; the foot and base of the top feature simple stylized floral decoration.
