    Superb 19th-century gilt bronze inkwell in the Napoleon III style, decorated with cloisonné enamel in deep colors: orange-yellow, dark blue, green and burgundy. This refined showcase piece perfectly embodies the elegance of French decorative arts in the second half of the 19th century.

    The piece rests on a decorative base mounted on four finely worked feet, on which rises a central inkwell with two handles, adorned with stylized chimera heads. The lid is surmounted by a pine cone motif, typical of the period's ceremonial objects. The cloisonné enamel decoration forms repetitive ornamental motifs, providing an elegant contrast to the gilded bronze.
