    A priori portrait of ERNST THEODOR AMADEUS HOFFMANN (1776-1822), unsigned.
    It is above all because of his literary activity that Hoffmann is famous.
    Known as "E. T. A. Hoffmann", he is the author of numerous tales. He then became, from the 1820s, one of the illustrious figures of German romanticism and inspired many artists, in Europe and in the rest of the world.
    For example, Jacques Offenbach wrote the five-act fantasy opera The Tales of Hoffmann drawing inspiration from the world of the German Romantic.
