Meeting of three medals or medallions commemorating Kings Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI:
Beautiful bronze medal with brown patina representing, on one side, the profile of Louis XIV, armored and helmeted in the Antique style, marked "LUD MAGNUS - FRAN ET NAV REX P P", and signed F. Varin. On the other side, the King's motto "NEC PLURIBUS IMPAR" is inscribed with a sun radiating above the earth and dated 1674.
Re-strike of the medal of François Varin (1644-1705).
Lovely gilded bronze medal representing, on one side, the profile of Louis XV as a child and marked "LUDOVICUS XV D G FR and NAV REX", on the other side, an allegorical scene representing the young king welcomed by France and marked "TALI SE DEA IACTAT ALUMNO", monogrammed at the bottom "IB" and dated 'M DCC XIX" (1719).
Partially gilded metal medallion representing an allegory of the marriage of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette, titled "Claudentur Belli Portae" (wear and accidents).
Nineteenth century.
Fixed on a crimson velvet disc (diameter 13 cm)
