We present a remarkable large-scale Italian composition in an elegant carved and gilded wood frame, topped by two angels.
The altar-like base receives 6 monstrances around a central medallion, which is precious.
It holds relics ex-précondis, i.e. from the heart. These relics are those of Blessed Camille de Lellis, who was not sanctified until 1746. This allows us to date our reliquary to around 1740, in perfect harmony with the rest of the collection.
Relics of the following saints are also present: Saint Amalia Virgin Martyr, Saint Roch Confessor, and the Saints Pancrazio, Leopoldino, Agata, Rosalia, Eupressia, Scolatica, Eusebio, Eupio and Valentini.
The central part houses three reliquary tubes, sealed with a red wax seal. They contain important ex-ossibus relics of Saint Simon and Saint Maurice Martyr, although the phylactery of the last cylinder is not visible.
Finally, the upper part houses 7 small relics.
The bottom is covered with a fabric embroidered with flowers, and on the back is another wax seal.
A remarkable piece in very good condition. Dimensions 105 cm by 62 cm and 14 cm deep.
