A rare set of four matching panels, each featuring a liturgical symbol.

On four cream-colored damask silk passementerie panels, we find a finely embroidered motif in gold thread: the Mystic Pelican, the Tablets of the Law, the Trinitarian delta, and finally, the Lamb and the Seven Seals of the Apocalypse.
A late 19th-century work by the firm BIAIS Ainé et Cie, founded in Paris in 1782, delivered in its original box.
Dimensions of two of the panels: 120 cm x 38 cm.
Dimensions of the other two panels: 145 cm x 38 cm.
These panels likely originally framed a canopy but can also be used as antependiums.

In used condition, with fabric fraying in several places and losses to the central motifs.
