Beautiful 18th century processional element in gilded brass resting on a later base in gilded wood.
The Savior of humanity is represented here by his central monogram. It is at the heart of a small monstrance, which is embedded in a larger whole including the Cloud, the Glory and three hearts.
The cloud symbolizes the Divine presence,
Glory is radiant as it should be,
And the three hearts, whose contours are finely hammered, discreetly refer us to the Trinity.
Intended to be hoisted to the top of a rod, the Glory is visible from the front and back during the procession. To do this, these two faces are treated in the same way.

Dimensions of the set: 56 cm high by 27.5 cm wide.

Good condition. Note a weld rework on the main node.
