Large bronze Christ formerly mounted as a crucufix, retaining its deep, nuanced original patina.
Model of a living Christ with head tilted to the left and body slightly swaying to the right.
Has an original opening on the back, I think late 18th/early 19th century, but perhaps older, details such as veins, toes and hands are indicative of a fine cast executed in a very good workshop.
Note some wear and rubbing as visible in the photos.
