Gallia Art Nouveau Silver-Plated Bread Basket by Christofle, Early 20th Century
Created by the Christofle workshops, the Gallia collection was a true revolution in tableware at the beginning of the 20th century.

This silver-plated bread basket embodies the quintessence of Art Nouveau, with an organic form and fluid curves inspired by nature. Its ovoid shape is complemented at the ends by baskets adorned with flowers whose corollas are fully open and their stems fan out.
In very good overall condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with age, which is to be expected for an object over 120 years old.
