Large stained wooden tray decorated with a thistle and the Scottish motto "Qui s'y frotte s'y pique" (He who rubs against it gets pricked).

This beautiful rectangular tray features stained wood in a prominent stylized thistle motif, accompanied by a Cross of Lorraine and the pyrography of the famous motto.
The carved side handles and the handcrafted veneer give it a decorative charm typical of regionalist productions from the first half of the 20th century.

A decorative piece, ideal for a chalet, mountain retreat, Scottish-style home, or folk art setting.

    Dimensions:

    54 x 38 cm
    Height: 9 cm

Good overall condition with signs of use, minor wear, and age-related marks visible on the wood and varnish, but nothing serious. Warm antique patina and highly decorative design.
