Stunning sycamore wood bowl, circa 1800
A beautiful, hand-turned bowl made from a single piece of wood, featuring a superb patina and dating from the late 18th/early 19th

This type of bol was crafted from freshly cut sycamore, rather than dried and hardened wood. This wood was particularly prized for its natural qualities; it was reputed not to alter the taste of food and to possess antibacterial properties.

Ideal as a catchhalls , fruit bowl, or decorative bowl
England or Wales, circa 1800
