Superb pair of solid wood antique doors, richly molded, from the Louis XV / Régence period, featuring elegant fretworked panels on the front.
Description
Each door is composed of :
A top panel with movement molding,
A central panel adorned with a curved crosspiece in the form of an accolade,
Deep-profile molded frames,
Original decorative metal handles and escutcheons.
The wood (solid oak) is a beautiful warm shade, with a homogenous antique patina that enhances the natural grain.
The moldings are finely crafted, with decor typical of 18th-century interiors inspired by Louis XV.
