Elegant buffet in solid Blond Cherry wood from the Loire Valley region.
It opens in the upper part - as well as in the lower part - by 2 doors harmoniously cut out, with recess. In the belt, it offers 3 drawers, the middle one being narrower than the 2 others, all with the same decorations on the fronts as on the doors. The latter are decorated with authentic iron fittings and plugs. On the left-hand doors, the two frames have similar motifs: hearts on the front, checkerboard decorations in the center, tassels that seem to hang from them.
The locks are in working order and the furniture comes with its keys, models with barrels of various and surprising shapes.
The interiors are equipped, for the upper part, with 2 shelves of 40 cm deep and for the lower part, with a larger one (56 cm) but delaminated in its length to be constituted of 2 blades. These shelves as well as the shelving of the piece of furniture were redone in Oak.
This sideboard is topped by a cornice with multiple moldings and cut in 'Bat Wing'. Under this one, one will appreciate sculptures of volutes and flowers, on both sides of a new checkerboard ornament.
Its sides are panelled, its angles are fluted, embellished at their ends by sculpted decorations.
Its lower crosspiece is also richly worked: added to its moldings are decorations of flowers with long stems garnishing a vase with handles, recalling the designs already admired above.
This honey-colored sideboard rests on 2 'Snail' feet in the front and 2 straight feet in the back.
The two bodies can easily be disassembled from each other thanks to a simple system of screws.
