    Louis XV Style Marquetry Cabinet/Side Cabinet

    Black Marble Top – Late 19th Century

    An elegant side cabinet crafted from precious woods and geometric marquetry, featuring a drawer in the frieze and two doors on the front.

    The front is adorned with a remarkable rosewood frieze arranged in a herringbone pattern, highlighted by marquetry frames and contrasting stringing.

    The sides are also finished in fine wood, showcasing the richness of the grain.

    The cabinet rests on four cabriole legs ending in bronze sabots.

    It is topped with a molded black marble slab, adding a further touch of elegance.

    The keyhole escutcheons, handles, and ornaments in gilt bronze harmoniously complete the piece.

    Due to its compact size, this cabinet can serve as a side table, a small parlor sideboard, an entryway cabinet, or even a music cabinet.
