Small decorative sideboard, in Rosewood and Amaranth wood veneer, Louis XV / Louis XVI transition style, in 2 bodies.

It consists in the upper part of a Cartonnier, with 2 rows of 3 small drawers, with pull buttons and leather fronts lined with golden friezes.
It is adorned at its top with a bronze decoration representing 2 cherubs. Underneath, it has a clock with a black background and a gold rim, fitted with its original mechanism. It is surrounded on both sides by a green-tinted wood marquetry, a color that is also found below the dial, in a geometric-shaped marquetry of various tones. A rectangular mirror, set back, completes this 1st body of the buffet.
The top of the lower part of this piece of furniture offers a marquetry composed of 4 rectangles framed by a thin border. This second body opens as a belt with a drawer, embellished with an inlaid decoration reminiscent of that of the upper part. It is decorated with pull handles and a brass lock. This is in working order and is provided with its key. Under this drawer there is a shelf, covered with a piece of leather framed with subtle flower decorations. It opens with 2 pull handles. Finally, the last part of this 2nd body offers 2 storage shelves, respectively 28.5 and 28 cm high and closing with 2 doors, one equipped with a lock, the other with a metal clasp at the bottom. The facades of these doors are decorated with rosewood marquetry representing checkerboards with an amaranth wood rim.
On its sides, tinted wood inlays embellish this sideboard, while in its angles and at the bottom, there are drops in bronze. Finally, brass rods follow the contours of the bottom of the cabinet and bronze shoes adorn its front feet.
The back of the cabinet and the drawer bottoms are in oak.
