These are two prestigious pieces of furniture which are presented here on their respective pedestals. On each assembly, a veneer of tortoise shells, blackened wood and ivory tablets engraved with foliage and hunting scenes - very fashionable at the time - adorns the drawers. The remarkable set, probably Hispanic, presents keyholes in the corners and golden brass headed nails with a flower pattern, punctuating and enriching the 18 drawers and front.
