Description

Maison Lecan presents this modernist coffee table from the 1960s, attributed to Lilienthal production, a German specialist in ceramic-top tables much sought-after today by mid-century design enthusiasts.
The top is composed of a tight mosaic of small black and white speckled ceramic tiles, into which plain white tiles are rhythmically inserted - a minimalist, repetitive composition that plays on texture and light. The result is a surface that is both discreet and visually rich, changing appearance according to angle and lighting. The mosaic is in excellent overall condition.
The black-lacquered metal structure, with its double T-shaped legs, is clean and precise - typical of the rational, industrial vocabulary of German design in the 60s. It leaves plenty of room for the tabletop, without competing with it.
At 135 cm in length, it's a generous table that fits naturally into a large living room, a loft or any contemporary interior looking for a graphic, timeless piece.
