Stepped shelving – Louis-Philippe style – Solid pine – 19th century

Five-tier shelving in solid pine, presumably from a mid-19th century shop or bakery, Louis-Philippe period.

The wide shelves with rounded edges rest on turned, tapered columns adorned with almond-shaped motifs characteristic of Louis-Philippe style and topped with spherical finials. The base is supported by powerful console feet with scrolled carving. The wood displays highly expressive grain and woodworm holes testifying to the age of the piece. The shelves show significant patinated wear: chips, stains and marks of intensive use are visible. The piece is entirely original. Cleaning is recommended; stripping is possible depending on intended use.

Dimensions: H. 144 cm × W. 116 cm × D. 14.5 cm. Weight: 15 kg. Delivery excluding shipping costs.
