Maison FOREST in Paris

Large, stamped, oval-shaped dining room table with extensions, resting on a base of 4 large fluted columns with flared capitals and bronze rings, joined by an H-shaped brace also highlighted in bronze.

The belt is inlaid with stained wood on a pink wood background.

Maison Forest was established in Paris in 1883, first at 14 rue Pierre-Picard, then at 31 rue Cambacérès. Its furniture, judged to be of the highest quality, both for its refined cabinetry and its gilded bronze mounts, won numerous awards. Maison Forest exhibited at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893.
