Rectangular table with extensions in solid cherry, from the Rennes region.
It is extendable at the ends by a system of slide arms, allowing two extensions placed below the main platform to be released. Each of them can then rest on their folding feet. This device offers the possibility of doubling the size of this Table, which will reach in this configuration almost 4 meters long. As was customary at that time, these extensions were designed in Oak, with a Cherry wood frame. Note that for greater uniformity of the whole, the Oak was patinated, during the restoration, in the Ton du Merisier.
This Table is provided, in Belt, on one of its longer sides, with an off-center drawer on the right.
This Cabinet rests on four Turned legs, which have been skillfully adapted to obtain a Standardized height.
This almost Bicentenary Table, sometimes Discreet and sometimes Imposing, can accommodate 10 to 16 Guests depending on whether you accessorize it or not with its extensions.
Period: Mid 19th century
Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Waxed finish for the crosspieces and feet. Anti-Stain finish for the top and the extensions.
