    Carved and gilded wood console table, 19th century – red veined marble top
    A beautiful wall console table in richly carved and gilded wood, a French work from the 19th century, in the Louis XV style.
    The undulating apron is adorned with an openwork design centered by a shell, framed by finely chiseled scrolls and foliage. The elegantly curved, cabriole legs are joined by a shaped stretcher with openwork decoration, lending the piece lightness and balance.
    The top is made of red veined marble, molded with a corbel-like edge, perfectly complementing the richness of the gilding. The carving is of very high quality, with meticulous attention to detail and relief, characteristic of 19th-century decorative pieces inspired by the 18th century. Period: 19th century
