- Italian sconce console in basswood and carved oak, partially gilded and painted in imitation of marble, 18th century.
The polychromy features reds, greens and gold. The juxtaposition of these hues creates pleasant color contrasts. The concave part of the sculpture features a stylized acanthus leaf motif, finely carved and gilded, which follows the curved shape and rises a little higher.

-In used condition, there are gaps in the paint (see photos).
