Attractive Louis XV period console table in waxed natural wood. It rests on two strongly curved and carved legs joined by a curved strut carved with a large shell forming a pronounced angle that rises upwards to match the angle formed by the supporting mus. The central openwork belt is richly carved on the front with a grid pattern and openwork rocaille motifs. The mantel is topped by a red Pyrenean marble top with a "bec de corbin" profile. Superb 18th-century Provencal work. Good condition.
A photo of the marble itself has been edited to give a better idea of its true color, which looks a little too gray on the console table, I think because of the red fabric used as a background in the photo, so you can see the color of the marble, which is rather reddish-brown!
thank you for your understanding!
