Elegant Art Deco commode, circa 1925.

Made of solid mahogany and amboyna burl.

It features three drawers without a central rail and is decorated with flowing stringing and dentils at the top.

The curved, triple-tiered front is accentuated at the bottom by projecting rails reminiscent of drapery.

It rests on tapered, gadrooned legs ending in gilt sabots.

The drawer pulls and keyhole escutcheons are gilt.

The drawer interiors are solid mahogany.

The top is speckled pink marble.

Refinished with a French polish, in perfect condition.

A superb piece; the maker is yet to be identified.
