    Important Louis XV period Dutch sciban commode in marquetry, dating from the 18th century.
    This piece is distinguished by its rich inlaid decoration of floral motifs and foliage, spread over the entire front as well as the flap, with a symmetrical composition of great finesse.
    The flap reveals a remarkable interior comprising :
    several small curved side drawers, also inlaid
    a leather-covered writing flap
    a small, decorated central leaf
    numerous storage compartments
    The front features three large drawers in the waistband, adorned with antique bronzes (keyways and handles).
    The unit stands on curved legs, joined by a moving crosspiece embellished with a large central carved decoration, typical of the Louis XV style.
    The warm patina of the wood and the well-preserved marquetry provide a high-quality decorative finish.
