Louis XVI period mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer commode, French work from the late XVIIIᵉ century or early XIXᵉ century.
This elegant chest of drawers opens with three wide drawers at the front, adorned with a very fine mahogany veneer laid out in butterfly wings, offering a deep and particularly decorative veining.
The drawers are adorned with drop handles and ormolu escutcheons decorated with rosettes. Slightly protruding uprights and tapered legs give the ensemble a sober, balanced line inspired by the Louis XVI style.
The top is topped with antique gray veined marble, elegantly underlining the warmth of the mahogany.
This beautifully proportioned storage unit is equally at home in a classic or contemporary interior.
