Louis XV sauté chest of drawers in solid amaranth and mahogany, fitted with a crossbow-shaped front. Two separate large dust cover drawers feature beautifully crafted bronze handles and a scrolled bronze entry complete with an original working lock and later key. The lower crosspiece has a cut-out underside with scrolls in the center and on the sides. This one is profiled with the feet. The rounded, knockout uprights end in strongly curved crowbars. The flat-banded sides are accompanied by upper and lower mahogany crossbars, molded from the inside. The framed top is darkened with a speckled mahogany panel. It has a grooved edge that matches the shape of the furniture.
