Lovely Louis XVI period Small Commode Dite de Maîtrise in Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer, resting on Tapered Feet.
This Chest of Drawers opens with a Double Drawer at the bottom and a Second Drawer Simulating a Chest at the top. It is fitted with a Tilting Tray, leaving access to the Chest. Its Brass Hinge allows the Flap to Tilt. Its Rooted Fluted Uprights. Beautiful ornamentation in gilded bronze, such as pull handles and lock escutcheons. Two keys, one for the drawer and another on the side for the chest. Varnish finish.
