French Charles X secretaries in precious exotic wood with maple inlay.

The upper part is composed of a calatoia hiding an open space designed as an arched mailbox compartment and an underside of ink compartments.

The calatoio top is covered with a layer of leather bordered by an elegant fire frieze.

The lower body, much simpler in its construction, is made up of two legs ending in a solid base.

The interiors are in maple with eyelets and still retain the original keys and locks of the time, the top can be tilted and is easily used as a storage compartment.

Provenance: France (1820/30).

General conditions: Unrestored but in excellent condition.
