An elegant walnut burl drop-leaf secretary desk dating from the Louis-Philippe period (circa 1830).
This piece captivates with the exceptional quality of its wood, featuring a spectacular butterfly-wing grain pattern characteristic of the finest pieces from this period.
The front features an upper drawer, a drop-down lid revealing an interior fitted with several small drawers and storage compartments, as well as three large drawers in the lower section. The interior is made of maple and is adorned with pretty green glass knobs, adding a touch of refined elegance.
The piece rests on molded plinth legs and is topped with its original black marble top, emphasizing its understated and distinguished character.
