Superb display cabinet in molded, ribbed, and finely carved solid walnut, decorated with stylized ferns. It opens with a tall niche and a glazed door. The back features cube-shaped mahogany marquetry, and the interior has a glass shelf and a niche in the lower section. The uprights are carved in high relief on their edges, and the base has bulbous projections illustrating root extraction. The panels are veneered with burr maple. It features a gilt bronze keyhole escutcheon and key, and beveled glass. Remarkable quality of cabinetmaking!
