Superb Louis XV / Transition style bookcase in painted wood, adorned with decorative panels with floral motifs in scrolled frames.
Description

This piece of furniture is composed of :

Two solid side doors richly decorated with hand-painted floral bouquets in molded cartouches

An open central section with shelves

A soberly molded upper cornice

A curved base resting on a molded plinth

The panels feature an 18th-century décor of flowering vases, with rocaille frames in shades of grayish blue, soft green and patinated ochre. The overall effect is a beautiful harmony of antique colors and a deliberately aged patina.
The central section features several shelves for storing books or decorative objects.
