Small glass and brass display case used to guarantee the good hygiene of surgical and urology apparatus and instruments.
It is composed of a brass frame assembled by screws, and is glazed on all sides and above. It is provided with two glass shelves on racks and therefore adjustable.
The bottom of the showcase is a silver mirror, thus reflecting the contents of the cabinet.
This is equipped with 4 bobeches above and 4 shower feet.
On the brass structure, we can see on the upper part a signed plaque with the inscription "Surgical devices & instruments - A. Luer - Wulfing Luer Succession - Paris - 6, Rue Antoine-Dubois".
Small historical clarification: Hermann Adolph Wülfing-Lüer was a manufacturer of surgical instruments living in Paris. Rue Antoine-Dubois is famous in Paris for its former "Hospital of clinics" built in 1833 and demolished in 1878. This window therefore served this hospital during the 19th century.
