Louis XVI style bookcase/display cabinet in mahogany veneer and geometric marquetry.
This piece offers various storage options:
▫ The left section opens with a door revealing four mahogany shelves.
▫ The central section features two glass doors in the upper part, two glass shelves, and a drawer with an interior plaque marked "G & E DENNERY 3, 4, 6 rue Moreau PARIS" with two ring handles and a keyhole escutcheon. The lower section has two solid doors decorated with vertical fluting, concealing a compartment with four vertical drawers.
▫ The right section opens with a door revealing four mahogany shelves.
The entire piece is topped with a straight, molded cornice. The upper band beneath this cornice is richly adorned in its center with a large, gilt and chased bronze motif depicting foliate scrolls and intertwined volutes. The whole is topped with a beige marble slab with a corbel-like edge.
On each side, above the lateral supports, are bronze foliate drops in the form of pilasters, and in part, a bronze drop decorated with intertwined laurel leaves surmounted by a pine cone.
The lower rail is adorned in its center with gilt bronze depicting a foliate motif.
The whole is supported by eight toupie feet (four at the front and four at the back).
It has its keys (five in total).
