Elegant mahogany display case, made in the Louis XVI style in the mid-twentieth century. It brilliantly embodies the art of French cabinetmaking and the decorative refinement of its era. Its top is delicately inlaid with squares forming a checkerboard pattern, surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. This detail is enhanced by a frieze of tasselled draperies, adding a theatrical touch to the ensemble. The display case is entirely glazed on all sides, allowing perfect visibility of its contents. It opens through a central, lockable door, framed by fluted jambs adorned with asparagus-shaped bronzes. At the top of these jambs, refined falls depict finely chiseled female masks, resting on acanthus leaves. The interior, arranged on four levels, is clad in sumptuous raspberry velvet, highlighting each exhibit with elegance and warmth. The lower crosspieces are decorated with finely worked mouldings, while the front features a composition of ormolu scrolls. Finally, the piece rests on charming "toupie" feet, which subtly balance the richness of the ensemble.
