A small late 18th or early 19th century marquetry cylinder desk,
(circa 1800) in Rosewood, Satinwood and alternating light and dark wood fillets.
It opens with three drawers at the bottom, a sliding shelf lined with leather (probably original), three small drawers topped by a cylinder concealing two drawers and four niches. Capped with "Blanc Veiné" Carrara marble, it has an openwork gallery and rests on a sheathed base finished with gilded bronze sabots.
