Important cylinder desk in mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer in the Empire style. This secretary with a semi-cylindrical flap has eight drawers on the front with palmette keys: five on the belt and three on an upper step, itself topped with a green marble top. The flap door is flanked by rich ornamentation in gilded bronze decorated with winged victories, palm leaves, a frieze of water leaves, and a chariot led by a cupid on the front. Opening with two gilded bronze swan neck zippers, the cylinder reveals a leather-covered sliding top surrounded by a frieze of iron-gilded palmettes, a niche and three drawers with finials. The whole rests on four uprights in braced columns.
Dimensions of the writing top: D.51.5 x L.119.5 cm
