Mahogany and ebony desk by cabinetmaker Francisque Chaleyssin (cabinetmaker born in 1872 in Lyon). This desk is of very high manufacturing quality with this ebony top and its tan leather engraved with gold leaf. Bronze ornamentation on the drawer fronts as well as on the tops of the feet. This one is made around the 1940s. Two drawers on the front and of course an identical visitor front with bronzes.
