Elegant Louis XV style writing desk opening with 3 drawers. The central drawer is adorned with an imposing ormolu openwork keyhole at the center of which is a key to operate the lock. The other two drawers, on either side, are fitted with drop handles fixed to the front by large openwork ormolu rosettes. The other three sides of the belt are decorated with ormolu rocaille motifs. The desk rests on 4 beautifully arched feet finished with ormolu goat hooves.
The top is covered with a new red Moroccan top, also gilded with small irons, with a central motif and 4 corners. Late 19th/early 20th century.
