    A slant-front desk, also known as a "donkey's back" desk, inlaid with walnut, amaranth, and plum wood. It rests on four cabriole legs, the two front ones fitted with gilt bronze sabots. The front opens with two drawers and a drop-front that reveals a theater-style writing surface. The theater-style writing surface comprises four drawers and a sliding tray providing access to the locking mechanism for the lower drawers. Two pull-out slides allow the drop-front to be lowered.
    The leather has been replaced.
