Beautiful flat desk designed by Louis Majorelle (1859-1926). The desk is in molded and ribbed mahogany, opening to three drawers in the waistband and two single-leaf side pedestals. The pedestals are fitted with solid oak storage trays. The magnificent bronzes on the drawers depict plant motifs typical of the Art Nouveau period. The top is covered with brown leather "in its juice", which has been cleaned but preserved as it is, thanks to its beautiful patina. Art Nouveau period, Hemispheres model, duly listed. Circa 1900.
Perfectly balanced and elegant, this desk is in perfect condition. It has been entirely overhauled by our cabinetmaking workshop.
